BirdLife Malta condemned the uprooting of more than 170 trees at Xrobb l-Għaġin Park, saying it was deplorable such cowardly acts still undermined their work.
The trees were planted during an event marking the environmental Nature Trust’s 50th anniversary. Vandals also broke into a storeroom and stole tools, pipes and wheelbarrows.
Two months ago, vandals struck at the Wied Għollieqa Nature Reserve, spraying graffiti on restored rubble walls.
