Bypassing Mellieħa

I want to point out a few things that the Mellieħa mayor should know and consider when closing its doors to non-residents.

We pay the road tax, so we have the right to use the public roads even though a lot of people got used not to pass through Mellieħa.

Mellieħa has been transformed into a closed community. Did the mayor consider the long-term impact on the village business? His recent action has irritated a lot of people who are feeling offended and not welcomed by the Mellieħa community. In such an instance the mayor has to keep in mind that it would be difficult to persuade non Mellieħa citizens to attend activities such as the Mellieħa Festival or do business with the local outlets and establishments.
