Second ‘glorious’ recipe collection by Gloria Mizzi

Following the success of Glorious Food, published in 2009, Gloria Mizzi is back on bookshelves with More Glorious Food.

More Glorious Food was launched recently at C. Camilleri and Sons, Merchants Street, Valletta.

Speaking to the media, Gloria Mizzi thanked those who helped with the book, describing the sense of accomplishment at seeing her recipes collected into a book for the second time.

The book features a mix of recipes from all over the Mediterranean region and a few typical Maltese dishes, like imqarrun, braġjoli, stuffat tal-qarnit and mqaret which “were included by general request”.

Ms Mizzi has always believed in wholesome healthy eating, notwithstanding the few rather calorific – but always mouth-watering – recipes featured in the book.

She has a penchant for fresh seasonal produce, herbs and spices; and her recipes for the most part are easy to follow, quick to prepare and can be tackled by anyone from the culinary novice to the expert chef.

More Glorious Food is split into colourful chapters: Bits and Bites; Soups for the Soul; Pasta, Rice and Other Things Nice; For the Meat Lovers; Sourced from the Sea; Salad and Vegetable Delights; Dough Ideas; For the Sweet of Tooth; And There’s More, featuring miscellaneous recipes; and a chapter on useful cooking hints.

Designed by Faye Paris, the book is published by Pubblikazzjonijiet Indipendenza and is available at €35 from the Media Link Shop in Pietà and leading bookstores.
