Miss Selfridge has launched its new spring/summer collection.

Chalky pastels and washed out neons set the tone for the season where pretty 1920s influences, of dropped hems and pyjama styles, are contrasted against bold symmetrical prints.

Prints define the season like a kaleidoscope, designed in-house from dip dye, Hawaiian floral to abstract digital. Colour blocking has evolved into harmonious shades of one colour family creating a strong statement.

Whimsical silhouettes on floor-length dresses and floaty playsuits are contrasted against sports luxe inspired designs, as part of the 1990s revival, softened with prints in candy colours.

The 1960s continues as an evolving trend – A-line shifts, shell tops, cropped pants and A-line skirts are updated with summer pastels. Fluid fabrics are key and meant to be sheer – styled with vintage slips and statement underwear.

The collection is available at Miss Selfridge stores in Sliema, Valletta and at Arkadia in Victoria.
