The second edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Malta came to an end at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali last weekend with the Trussardi Jeans Malta Fashion Awards.

The winners in the various categories were announced during a fast-moving evening, which also saw various fashion and stage shows.

Shana Caruana won best Female Model, while Robert Galea clinched the best Male Model award.

Valentina Rossi won the Female Photo Model award, while Gino Bezzina won the Male Photo Model title.

The Make-up Artist award was won by Justin Brincat, while Muriel Thake won the best New Designer award.

Tonio Lombardi won the title of Fashion Photographer.

The Wella Trend Vision Awards, which featured two categories, were won by Steve Vella (Colour Category) and Annalise Azzopardi (Young Talent Category).

The Hand and Nail Harmony Nail Technician Awards included three categories – the best French Acrylic Sculpting award which was won by Noella Genovese, Janelle Bundy won the Gel Sculpting With Nail Art award, while the Soak Off Gel Manicure award was won by Elysia Farrugia.

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Malta also saw the launch of a swimwear collection by Britain’s Next Top Model 2010 Tiffany Pisani.

The collection was Pisani’s first creative attempt into the swimwear fashion world.
