CUTAJAR. On May 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, IRENE, née Cassar, of High Ridge, Madliena, aged 70, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Prof. Lino Cutajar, her daughter Louise, her son David and his wife Maria, her beloved grandsons Robin and Adam, her sisters Carmelina Cassar, Margaret Azzopardi, Mary Schembri, Georgette Galea, Doris Camilleri, Bernardette and her husband Robert Lemare, her sister-in-law Jane Cassar, her brother-in-law architect Edgar Cutajar and his wife Vicky, nephews and nieces, other relatives and her many friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, May 21 at 8.15 a.m. for St Julians parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.15 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

THEUMA. On May 17, MARIA, k/a Mimi, widow of George (ex-music teacher) aged 94, of Victoria, Gozo, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Her great loss is mourned by her children Maria and her husband Michael Cassar, Lelina and her husband John Grech, Josephine and her husband Frank Bajada, Georgia and her husband Michael Theuma and Jack and his wife Pia, her thirteen grandchildren, her nine great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends. The funeral will be held tomorrow, leaving Gozo General Hospital at 4 p.m. The cortege will depart from Castle Hill at 4.30 p.m. followed by Mass præsente cadavere at the Gozo Cathedral. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Female Ward at Gozo General Hospital.
