Island Hotels Group Holdings through its subsidiary The Coffee Company, has
signed a franchise agreement with Costa International for exclusive development and operating rights in Malta.

The Coffee Company intends to convert three outlets at Malta International Airport into branded Costa coffee shops later this year. The outlets have contracts in place at MIA up to the year 2022.

Additional outlets are expected to follow at a later in key locations.

Costa Coffee was founded in 1971 by Bruno and Sergio Costa and taken over by Whitbread plc in 1995. Whitbread plc is listed on the FTSE 100 UK stock exchange and is today valued at over £3 billion. Costa Coffee operates in 25 markets, in addition to the UK.
