Alessandro Del Piero will captain Juventus for his final league match against Atalanta today.

Del Piero’s 19-year stay with the Old Lady will come to an end this summer and coach Antonio Conte wants to give him a special send-off.

With the Serie A title already wrapped up and an Italian Cup final to come in a week’s time, Del Piero will get the chance to say goodbye to the fans who have idolised him for the last two decades.

“(Del Piero) started against Notts County when we inaugurated the Juventus Stadium and he also started the first game of the season against Parma as captain.

“He will also start against Atalanta. It’s something he’s due, not for his career but for what he’s done.”
