Valletta championship celebrations reached a climax this evening as players and supporters made a grand entrance through what was once City Gate into Republic Street, parading their championship trophy.

The top part of Republic Street was packed with people to celebrate Valletta's 21st championship.

For many supporters, Valletta celebrations started early, with carcades to several localities.

Republic Street itself was decorated with stars for each championship that Valletta has won.

Most supporters wore red or white, the traditional  Valletta colours. Most went to the stadium on trucks waving huge flags. A group even went to Ta' Qali on a trackless train.
