The annual golf competition, hosted by the British Residents Association (BRA) at the Royal Malta Golf Club, was played earlier this week in perfect weather conditions with the participation of 41 members.

The event, sponsored by association members, the Golf Club and local businesses, was the first social occasion at the splendid new clubhouse following a fire three years ago.

The winner was Alan Wells. He was presented with the Drimme Trophy by BRA president Peter Robinson. Janice Blackburn was the runner-up ahead of Phil Stevenson.

The Walshaw Cup, for the top team, was won by the Sliema and St Julian’s group. St Paul’s Bay were second.
