So hot and sexy, but yet, oh so cold
The Charles & Ron Autumn/Winter collection takes centre stage in Malta, mixing soft, silky fabrics with leather and coats tailored to cover flowing dresses
Outfits that are sexy and hot went on show in Malta this week... but they are easily covered up for colder days.
The Charles & Ron Autumn/Winter 2012/2013 collection was unveiled during the 2nd Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Malta, drawing inspiration from the contrast between the designers’ backgrounds, as they grew up worlds apart.
Ron was born and raised in the cold climate of The Netherlands and Charles in the hot Mediterranean environment of the Maltese Islands.
The colour palette includes classic black, which is a C&R staple, and also the corresponding shades for hot and cold.
The collection, called So Hot, So Cold, is all about opposites that work together in perfect harmony as soft, silky fabrics are mixed with leather and tailored, structured coats to cover soft and flowing dresses.
The launch was held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, with make-up in the hands of Justin Brincat and hair by Alexander’s Hairdressing.
The show was organised in collaboration with Viventy Jewels by 202 Jewellery.
