Four people were arrested yesterday after 500 grams of heroin was found at Luqa airport.

A 35-year-old woman from St Paul’s Bay was found with the drugs after a flight from Egypt.

Three men aged 27 to 41 from St Paul’s Bay, Marsascala and Safi were later held.

Separately, a Polish man of 28 was remanded in custody after admitting he imported nearly 900 grams of heroin capsules in his stomach after flying in from Dusseldorf on Sunday.
