• Warda Fest will take place today in Wardija from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. Fresh flowers will be on sale and there will be lots of food and refreshment stalls, as well as children’s entertainment. • Today is the 26th anniversary of the placing of the statue of Our Lady at Girgenti, Siġġiewi. To commemorate the anniversary and to pray for world peace and unity among families, the Moviment Madonna tal-Konsagrazzjoni committee will today hold its annual prayer meeting for the public and clergy, starting with a pilgrimage at 6 p.m. from near the bridge at the end of the old road. • A 30-hour walk in aid of the Community Chest Fund will start today at the Institute of Tourism Studies in St Julian’s at 9 a.m. It will end at the same location at 3 p.m tomorrow.

The public is invited to donate €5 and join the walk for any amount of time and distance. There are various points participants can choose to start from and transport will be provided back to cars or drop off points.
