Kenneth Cassar, a 31-year-old man from Senglea, was accused in court today of having threatened a couple and thrown objects at them while drunk yesterday night.

He was also accused of having threatened and resisited the police. 

The incidents happened last night in Crucifix Street, Senglea.

Mr Cassar was also accused of breaking the conditions of a previous release, including a condition not to approach witnesses in another case.

Cassar pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody. 

Inspectors Sylvana Briffa and Jurgen Vella prosecuted.
