Thousands of scouts march in Valletta
Over 4,000 scouts and guides marched in Valletta under a scorching sun this morning.
The annual parade started from the Granaries and proceeded down Republic Street and up Merchants' Street, with the groups showing various degrees of smartness and drill.
Some 15 bands took part.

I have unending admiration for the scout leaders who dedicate so much of their free time to training these kids to be responsible citizens. Malta would be a far worse place without them.
Well done to all who took part today from the leaders to the littlest cub!

Well done to all of you. You make Malta Proud......Well done to all the leaders who spend a lot of time with these youngsters ! And well done to the scouts coming from Gozo. As an ex scout it is a pleasure to see that generations passed and this Association continues to grow in heaps and bounds. This is one organization that the Government would do well to help in the most possible of ways, as it keeps our children healthy and in a good frame of mind. They are tomorrow s builder s of a society that this country so badly needs.
One again a big well done to all of you who took part this morning, from the eldest to the very youngest!
