Mifsud wins Half Marathon

Aaron Mifsud won last Sunday’s 37th edition of the Gozo Half Marathon, organised by the Gozo Amateur Athletic Association in collaboration with the Malta Amateur Athletic Association, Xagħra council and the Gozo Ministry.

Charlie Cilia placed second, while Drew Lang came third.

The 12.8 kilometre race was won by Jonathan Balzan. Antione Abela and Matthew Scicluna placed second and third respectively.

The four-kilometre race for boys was won by Matthew Theuma, while Shona Berger won thegirls’ race.

The two-kilometre race was won by Matthew Camilleri and Daphne Cremona.

The mountain bike race was won by LouisDebattista (43.57”), Silvio Grima (47.55”) and Shaun Vella (49.32”).

Trophies and medals were awarded to the winners, while a memento was given to all participants.

Money was raised for Puttinu Cares by the participating athletes and spectators.
