Hundreds of students and staff from the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology recently took part in ‘Diversity Day’, a series of activities held at the college’s main campus in Paola, aimed at sending out a clear message against all forms of intolerance and social exclusion, particularly prejudices and bullying incited by race, sexual orientation, physical or intellectual disabilities.

The activities included an overnight camp on campus, musical and cultural productions, a street market, and an African food tasting experience.

Students from over 30 different countries currently study at Mcast.

All proceeds from the activities will be donated to non-governmental organisations that participated in the event, including the Malta Gay Rights Movement, Inspire and the Jesuit Refugee Service.

The National Commission Persons with Disability, the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality, SOS Malta, and ME2 Co-op Ltd also took part.
