A total 35,000 children were vaccinated at Health Centres last year and another 15,000 students were vaccinated at school, Parliamentary Secretary Mario Galea said this morning.

Speaking during a visit to the Immunisation Clinic at the Floriana Health Centre, Mr Galea said that 77,000 people were vaccinated during seasonal influenza vaccination campaign 2011/2012.

Comparing 2010 to last year, one would see a 71 per cent increase in the five in one vaccine, 42 per cent increase in the MMR vaccine and 15 per cent increase in the Hepatitis B vaccination.
