Monthly award for Loyola’s Johnson

The You Shop We Ship women player of the month for March is Loyola’s Desarae Johnson.

This is the first individual honour in Malta for the US player since joining Loyola last year.

During March, Loyola continued with their positive run in the league which eventually saw them reaching the final play-offs.

Johnson contributed with 96 points, ending as the women’s second best top scorer in March.

She had an average of 1.24 steals and so far is the season’s fourth best rebounder with 8.08 rebounds per game.

Loyola are currently leading the best-of-five final series against Luxol 2-1 with Johnson the protagonist in her side’s two wins.
