Actress-turned-writer Judy Cornwell, 72, last Wednesday was at Bargate bookshop in Victoria to sign books and help raise funds for Puttinu Cares.

Ms Cornwell is mostly known for her role as Daisy in the British sitcom Keeping Up Appearances. The actress, who had visited Malta in 1968 to take part in a controversial film at Ramla Bay, has returned to tell her tale to schoolgirls and inspire them to chase their dreams.

Ms Cornwell has had a long career on the big screen, stage and TV.

At Bargate, Ms Cornwell also signed portraits and postcards.

The British actress donated several treasured possessions to be auctioned during the Puttinu Cares marathon this week.
