• Doorstep sellers must possess a licence.

• If you are not interested to buy, politely ask the seller to leave.

• Everything agreed on during the sale should be written on the sales contract.

• If you buy from a door-to-door seller you have the right to change your mind and cancel the sale within a stipulated time-limit.

• Upon placing an order with a door-to-door seller you should not be asked to pay any deposit.

• A 10 per cent deposit may only be requested after the time to change your mind has expired.
