A man accused of trafficking heroin had five horses and €1.50 to his name, a court expert said.

Mighty, Chilly Beast, Osay de Viette, Worg Xing and Marathon d’Isques were the horses owned by Herman McKay, 28, from Marsa, lawyer Joe Mifsud told a court.

Dr Mifsud was requested by Magistrate Miriam Hayman to list Mr Mckay’s assets after the prosecution asked to freeze his property.

He is denying trafficking heroin less than 100 metres from a youth club and to driving dangerously and disobeying police orders.

Mr McKay was remanded in custody after being charged in January. Police Inspectors Jesmond Borg and Victor Aquilina prosecuted.

Lawyers Franco Debono, Marion Camilleri and Charmaine Cherrett appeared for the accused.
