Students at the Cospicua Primary, one of the schools within St Margaret College, were busy on Friday creating instruments by recycling toilet paper rolls and plastic bottles under the guidance of musician Sarah Spiteri.

The project is part of the Kreattiv workshop organised by the Culture Ministry aimed at bringing together creative practitioners, teachers and students.

After working with an artist and a writer, the students created musical instruments in an informal session with Ms Spiteri, who forms part of the National Philharmonic Orchestra.

Their work will go on show soon at the Vittoriosa Maritime Museum.
