Labour leader sued for libel

Education Minister Dolores Cristina has sued Labour leader Joseph Muscat for libel after he accused her of nepotism.

On Sunday, Dr Muscat made claims about a post assigned to the minister’s son-in-law. He also blamed her son for the “mess” that prompted the EU to withhold education funds. The government said the allegations by Dr Muscat were unfounded.
