Five delegates from the Breast Care Support Group Europa Donna Malta attended the European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC) in Vienna last month.

Group president Gertrude Abela chaired a session on survivorship during the conference, attended by nearly 4,000 participants from 98 countries.

Meanwhile, group vice-president Doris Fenech gave a presentation on ‘Patient perspective on issues and needs’, and was invited by a leading pharmaceutical company Globe Novartis Oncology to give a presentation on ‘Metastatic breast cancer from a patient point of view’, during a meeting of the company’s scientific and medical professionals.

The group will be holding a follow-up EBCC seminar for health professionals in the Green Lounge of the Hotel Phoenicia, Floriana on Thursday at 7.30 p.m.
