Cardinal Joao Braz de Aviz, Prefect of the Congregation for Consecrated Life and the Societies of Apostolic Life, recently visited Ta’ Pinu sanctuary, accompanied by the Apostolic Nuncio Mgr Tommaso Caputo. He was welcomed by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech and the sanctuary’s rector, Fr Gerard Buhagiar, who gave him a copy of the publication A Temple to Our Lady Ta’ Pinu Basilica. The cardinal, who also addressed the religious at Dar Stella Maris in Żebbuġ, run by the Missionary Society of St Paul, is seen here blessing a toddler at Ta’ Pinu.
