The NSTF Science Expo will be open to the public today from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m. at Xrobb l-Għaġin Nature Park and Sustainable Development Centre, Marsaxlokk.

From tomorrow to Friday over 2,000 students from primary and secondary schools are expected to visit the expo.

Activities related to different aspects of Science will take place throughout the week targeting the various age groups.

These include talks by Edwin Lanfranco about the Malta’s flora; lectures and demonstrations by Tim Harrison and Sarah Ruth Abel from the Bristol Chemlabs outreach team; lectures and demonstrations by physicist Nardone Pasquale from Uni­versité Libre de Bruxelles; talks by the Malta Medical Students Association; tours on site about alternative energy by Nature Trust (Malta); an exhibition of several student projects carried out by primary, secondary and 6th Form and University students through various NSTF Science pro­grammes; a film of marine life in Dwejra and Rdum Majjiesa by Alan Deidun, and a Little Scientists’ Village by the Institute of Art and Design at Mcast, coordinated by Mark Theuma.
