A third game in the best-of-three semi-finals play-offs is required to determine the two finalists in this season's women's basketball league following wins for Luxol and Loyola on Thursday evening.

Luxol, the top team in the regular season, beat Hibs 55-37 while Loyola evened their series with Depiro after a 58-39 win. Depiro and Hibs had won the opening ties last weekend.

The decisive matches will now be played on Sunday at the Ta' Qali Pavilion with the winners earning the right to figure in the final.

Meanwhile, the second match from the men's league best-of-five final will also be played on Sunday.

Last week, Athleta beat Depiro 70-54 to inch closer to back-to-back titles.
