Age limit: The Scottish FA has agreed to remove the mandatory retirement age for match officials. The change will come into force in time for season 2012-13. At the moment, officials are unable to ref beyond the age of 47 but criteria will now be based on fitness and per-formance, irrespective of age.

Robben: Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has revealed he is pleased with Juve’s reported interest in him. “Juventus are having a great season,” Robben said. “They have built a new team for the future. They are improving a lot and I’m honestly pleased with the interest of this great club.”

Bin Hammam is appealing to CAS to overturn a lifetime corruption ban. The 62-year-old is fighting allegations that he tried to buy votes while campaigning to unseat FIFA chief Sepp Blatter. The hearing is expected to conclude today.

Hennessey: Troubled Wolves have confirmed goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey will be out of action for around six months after rupturing his anterior cruciate knee ligament. The Wales international suffered the injury during last weekend’s goalless draw with Sunderland, although he did not realise the severity of the damage initially and com-pleted the game.
