Mario Balotelli insists he feels lucky to work with Roberto Mancini and has no intention of moving away from Manchester City.

The Italian says he is focused on trying to help City win the title and will not be leaving the Etihad Stadium at the end of the campaign.

“My future? Why do you always talk of Inter and Milan for me? I’m at City and I have no intention of changing shirt,” he said.

“Now I am just thinking about winning the title because I am sure that United will make mistakes. Certainly in the match with us, then, who knows.”

Bologna fined

Bologna have been hit with a 25,000-euro fine after some of their fans held up a tasteless banner during a match against Juventus on March 7.

The banner made a reference to former versatile Juve player Gianluca Pessotto, who tried to commit suicide in June 2006, not long after he had retired as a player.

He was appointed as team manager at Juve after retiring but apparently became depressed over the match-fixing Calciopoli scandal that saw Juve relegated to Serie B and stripped of their 2005 and 2006 titles.

He survived a fall from the fourth floor and later came back to resume his duties at Juve.

Morosini autopsy inconclusive

An autopsy on Piermario Morosini, who died after collapsing during a Serie B match at the weekend, has proved inconclusive.

The post-mortem examination was carried out on Monday and lasted more than six hours but no cause of death was determined.

“There is no macroscopic evidence that allows us to determine his death,” coroner Cristian D’Ovidio said.

“Further tests are needed, even of toxicological nature.”

Striker injured in fight with fans

Boca Juniors striker Santiago Silva has joined the Argentine champions’ growing injury list after breaking two fingers in a fist-fight with fans of rivals Tigre.

Fans insulted the burly shaven-headed Uruguayan, nicknamed Tank, and other players as the team were boarding their bus after losing 2-1 at Tigre on Sunday, media reported.

Boca could face sanctions for their players’ reaction and Tigre for no police presence where the bus was parked.

Silva, seen at Boca’s Casa Amarilla training facility with his right arm in a splint on Monday, was also treated for a knock on his knee.

Blanc hints at club move

France coach Laurent Blanc hinted yesterday that he could move into club management next season, as his contract with the national side has not been extended.

Blanc has been linked to a move to either the English Premier League or Italy’s Serie A, with both Chelsea and Inter reportedly interested in securing his services.

He did little to scotch rumours that his time as national team manager was nearly finished, telling the Parisien newspaper: “I don’t even know what I’ll be doing next season.”

Asked about the speculation, he was quoted as saying that it was “always gratifying” to be appreciated by big clubs.

Fellaini calls for signings

Marouane Fellaini has called on the club’s board to splash the cash to bolster the squad.

The Toffees saw their FA Cup dreams ended by Liverpool at the weekend as the Reds came from behind to win 2-1 at Wembley and book their place at next month’s showpiece final.

Fellaini believes they need to strengthen and buy big this summer if they are to take the step to compete for honours on a regular basis.

“I would love for us to get in some reinforcements,” said Fellaini.

“It would make us more competitive. I hope that the chairman will be able to loosen the purse strings during the summer.”

Wilshere out

Arsene Wenger has revealed that Jack Wilshere’s hopes of getting fit in time to play for England in the Euro 2012 finals are over.

The 20-year-old has been out for the entire season because of a stress fracture in an ankle. He had been hoping to return to the Arsenal first team before the end of the season but this will now not be possible, Wenger said.

“Jack will not play again this season and he will not go to the Euros,” he said.

“That is for sure. He is not ready to practise today and won’t be next week. He has made slow progress. He is devastated, which you can understand as it was what kept him going until now.”
