Design and innovation are the hallmarks of the HSBC Advance Malta Property and Homes Expo which enters its last day today.

Occupying more than 6,000 square metres at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre in Ta’ Qali, the event features more than 50 exhibitors, including real estate agents, developments in Malta and overseas, banks, designers, and outdoor and interiors suppliers.

“Part of our strategy this year was to bring more design and innovation to the expo, particularly as we have added the home aspect to the event,” Keith Pillow, managing director of expo organiser Duplex Real Estate Branding, told The Sunday Times on Friday.

Mr Pillow described expectations for the expo, now in its fourth year, as “good”, especially as several high-end property developments were being showcased over the weekend.

This year, the expo is acting as a marketing platform for both ends of the property market: the good quality, accessibly-priced property and niche market, luxury residences with a pricing range spanning from €40,000 to €5 million.

The Housing Authority has a booth to launch properties for sale from €35,000, a first for the agency.

Opened on Friday by Fair Competition, Small Business and Consumers Minister Jason Azzopardi, the event is yet again supported by HSBC, with its Advance Malta proposition.

Opening hours today are between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 3.30 to 10 p.m.
