This is the Night makes it to iTunes top three
Malta's Eurovision song This Is The Night, released to the Maltese public through iTunes has from position 172 in the top 200 to the top three and is expected to rise to number 1 in a few days.
The song, written by Kurt Calleja himself and composed by Swedish Johan Jämtberg and Mikael Gunneråsm, is produced by Gunnerås and mixed by artist and audio engineer Dann Pursey for Bonaire Media. Pursey is currently sitting at number one in the USA Billboard album chart for his work with "One Direction".
Since the national final, Kurt has traveled to Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Lithuania and more recently to Georgia to promote the Maltese entry. He is currently on a promotional visit to Istanbul in Turkey. Later this month he is expected to visit Amsterdam and Italy.
Kurt is expected to fly back to Malta today, in time to join the largest Eurovision Dance at St George's Square in Valletta at 10.30 a.m. tomorrow. The public is encouraged to join the fun and participate in the largest Eurovision dance ever to make history.
Arriva will be providing special trips from various localities to Valletta, for those attending dance, which is organised by the Xarabank team.
The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan on May 22, 24 and 26. Malta will be the fourth performer during the second semi-final on May 24 with the hope of making it to the final on May 26.

Number 1 of what charts exactly? This song is a total disaster, I do wish that the Maltese win one day but let's call a spade a spade. The track is terribly cheesy and personally I think it resembles so much to Faniello's track that put us nicely at the last place!
We need to do something original, we need to stop taking this Eurovision too seriously, maybe even compete with a semi folk / pop song and not a cheesy dance tune! Why are we always copying others? I guess we won't even make it to the final for one more time let alone win the Eurovision.
Just because the song is Maltese doesn't automatically become a good song, there is good and there is bad this song is bad. If 50 music executives will listen to it they will surely all answer the same YET a lot of Maltese are claiming that this song will be a winner, as usual just because it's Maltese and not because it's good. Sad to say the very least.

Why do we put hopes up? Sorry to say but the song is horrible, of course people tend to like it since it's maltese and you hear it so many times at the end it gets into your head. Reality is that the song is very bad and will not qualify to the finals. Oh and according to the betting site williamhill the maltese song is going to place last!!!

I don't think they will have trouble in setting a record for the largest Eurovison dance, I mean besides all those Eastern European countries that don't do anything else but vote for each other, we are the only other country who cares about Foolovison.
