Obituary
BONNICI. On April 11, at Casa Antonia, Balzan, EVELYN, aged 98, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her husband Joseph, her nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Casa Antonia tomorrow at 8.45 a.m. for St Theresa Sanctuary, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.15 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Casa Antonia. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
CARUANA. On April 9, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, née Pace, widow in the first instance of Edward Pace Balzan and of Frank Caruana, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her deep loss her children, Lillian, widow of Josie Gatt, Tony and his wife Ninette, Albert and his wife Antoinette (all Pace Balzan), her son Franco Caruana and her step-daughter Marika Caruana Putzulu, her grandchildren Edward and Claire, Raffaella and Sean, Adrian and Erica, Claire and James and Sarah and Jethro, her beloved great-grandchildren Thomas, Matthew, Carolina, Daniela and Julia, her brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Balzan parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Thanks go to the management and staff of Casa Antonia, Balzan, where she spent the last years of her life. PARIS. On April 10, Dr PEPPI, aged 91, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his wife Mary, née Caruana, his children Anna and her husband Michael, Peter and his wife Maria, Pat, Marie and her husband Nicolo, Michael and his wife Tina, John and his wife Jane, his grandchildren and their spouses, his sister-in-law Maria Paris, his brother-in-law Anthony and his wife Cynthia Caruana, his nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, today at 8 a.m. for Għaxaq parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Crèche and Salesians St Patrick’s will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank all who assisted in his last days.

On April 11, at Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, Fr GWIDO, ofm, aged 88, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, He leaves to mourn his loss his brother friars of the Maltese Franciscan Province of St Paul the Apostle, his nephews and niece, grand nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Dar tal-Kleru today at 1 p.m. for the Franciscan Friary in Carmel Street, Sliema, from where at 1.45 p.m. the funeral cortège proceeds to Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Franciscan chapel at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Kleru will be greatly appreciated.
SOLER. On April 11, at Casa Arkati, Mosta, JOSEPH of Sliema, aged 89, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Denis and his wife Marie, Marceline and her husband Joseph Camilleri Bowman, his grandchildren Ingrid, Jonathan, Fiona and Steve, their respective spouses and his beloved great-grandchildren, his sister May, widow of Andre Ellul Soler, his brother Victor, widower of Antoinette, and his sister Lina, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Casa Arkati today at 1.30 p.m. for Balluta parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
TESTA. On April 10, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital, GIOVANNA, aged 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her husband Felix, her children Lawrence and his wife Jean, Joe and Mary, Paulette and Alfred, Mona and Vincent, Bernardette and Lawrence; her 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; her sister Carrie and her husband Lorry; her sisters-in-law Jinnie, Liza and her husband Lino and her brother-in-law Francis and his wife Carmen. The funeral cortège leaves Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital today at 8 a.m. for St Lawrence parish church, Vittoriosa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at St Lawrence Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Foundation, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
