A 60-year-old man was seriously injured this evening when the roof of his residence in Senglea caved in.

The police said the incident happened at about 6.20 p.m. in a house in Oratory Street. The man had been doing some maintenance work.

The man is receiving hospital treatment but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
