An overview of what the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) does, how the Large Hadron Collider works, and the University’s critical role in some of its components will be presented at a Malta Chamber of Scientists business and scientific meeting on Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. at the Music Room at St James’ Cavalier, Valletta .

The meeting will be addressed by Marija Cauchi and Gianluca Valentino, researchers at the University and CERN, and chaired by Nicholas Sammut, a University researcher and chief excutive officer at the Malta Council for Science and Technology.

A discussion will be held afterwards over refreshments.

Science professionals and students are welcome.
