A presentation regarding the Waldorf Malta Movement will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Angka Café, Aldo Moro Street, Marsa.

Waldorf is a popular educational programme in many countries worldwide, with over 1,000 Waldorf schools and over 2,000 Waldorf kindergartens in 2011.

The main difference between the Waldorf approach and the traditional one is that instead of focusing solely on academic skills like reading, writing, maths and sciences, the pedagogy also focuses on creativity, common sense and cooperation through hands-on activities like music, art, cooking and gardening.

The Waldorf Malta Movement is composed of a group of parents interested in bringing the Waldorf pedagogy to Malta.

To date there are 50 families interested in having this type of education for their children, and over 30 other people interested in supporting the project.
