Hibs' appeal against Brazilian playmaker Jackson Lima's one-match ban has been rejected by MFA Appeals Board.

Jackson Lima was given a one-match ban in midweek for making an obscene gesture during Hibs' 1-0 defeat to Birkirkara last month.

Hibs challenged the decision citing an irregularity in the procedure adopted by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner.

Today's decision means that Jackson Lima can't play in the top-of-the-table clash with leaders Valletta this afternoon at the National Stadium.
