The Kavallieri RS2 Under-17 boys team have secured the league title in style after winning all their games in the three-round championship organised by the Malta Handball Association.

Led by young coach Luke Zammit, who was assisted by Twanny Xuereb and Andrea Damato, Kavallieri finished on top with a maximum 24 points, three ahead of La Salle.

It was the first U-17 league title for Kavallieri who previously had only managed third place.

In a statement, the committee of Kavallieri Handball Club expressed its gratitude to the RS2 Group for their sponsorship.

Kavallieri also noted that their teams are still in contention to win titles in three other categories this season.
