Deloitte was among several organisations which joined forces to carry out voluntary work for charities on Corporate Social Responsibility Day on March 19.

Deloitte, Alf. Mizzi & Sons (Marketing) Ltd, Arrow Pharm, Malta Enterprise, MSV Life, Mizzi Organisation, Vassallo Builders, HSBC, Knights of Malta and JCI, Farsons, Tumas Group, Gasan and more carried out maintenance of homes accommodating disadvantaged children and adults in difficult circumstances.

Deloitte staff carried out odd jobs for Dar Merħba Bik in Balzan, the shelter for women and children. Dar Merħba Bik incorporates a day care centre for the children of parents who either work or are in therapy.

Catherine Gonzi, the Prime Minister’s wife, who chairs the HSBC Cares for Children Fund, visited the different homes on CSR Day. Archbishop Paul Cremona and President George Abela also supported this initiative.
