I was intrigued to find that there are several cities having the same name as our country including in Lake County, Colorado (US), Phillips County, Montana (US), Carinthia (Austria), Cassia County, Idaho (US), DeKalb County, Illinois (US) and Saratoga County, New York (US).

There are likely to be more as are several streets named after Malta. Though some of the names may be related to malt it will be interesting to know the origin of the others.
