Bus services in Cospicua will be disrupted today because of the closure of Cospicua Wharf for urgent road works, Arriva said yesterday.

It said Route 2 will not be able to reach Café Riche and will operate via San Ġwann t’Għuxa Street and Alexandra Street, turning around at Narrow Street to return to Valletta.

Route 3 will divert via Fgura, Cottoner Avenue, Council of Europe Road and St Edward Street to reach Café Riche where it will turn and follow its normal route to Kalkara and Xgħajra. This will apply also to the return trips to Valletta.

Route 124 will not serve Verdala and Cospicua but will operate directly to Café Riche via St Edward Street and from there return to Marsascala.

Route 213 will not serve Senglea and Cospicua but divert through Fgura and Hompesch Gate to reach St Edward Street and Café Riche, from where it will serve Kalkara, Santu Rokku and then back by the same route to Paola and Mater Dei.

Route 1 from Senglea will not be affected, the bus service provider said in its statement.
