Today:
A prayer meeting will be held at Girgenti, Siġġiewi, today at 5.30 p.m. by the Moviment Madonna tal-Konsagrazzjoni committee. The public is invited to attend. For details view www.ourladyofconsecration.org.

Equal Partners Foundation is holding a fundraising Easter bazaar today at the foundation’s premises at 184A, Valley Road, Msida.

A Good Friday statues’ exhibition is being held until Friday by Victor Tedesco at 7, Triq Mons. Falzon, next to Msida parish church. The public can view the exhibition today between 8 and 11.30 a.m. and again between 5.30 to 8 p.m. Between tomorrow and Wednesday it be open from 5.30 till 8 p.m., on Maundy Thursday it will be open from 5.30 p.m. till midnight and on Good Friday it will be open from 7 till 11.30 a.m.

Tomorrow:
A garage sale in aid of the Mission Fund will take place from tomorrow till Wednesday at St Joseph Garage, Gummar Street, Birkirkara (next to the bakery). It will be open from 9.15 a.m. till 1 p.m. and 4.15 till 7 p.m. New soft toys, household goods, crafts and other items will be on sale.

The Cappella Sanctæ Catherinæ choir will be performing a concert at St Joseph parish church, Msida, tomorrow at 6.30 p.m. The general public is invited to attend. St Joseph parish church also requires girls aged between six and 13 to form a new choir. Those interesed should apply using the an application form obtainable from the parish sacristy, the parish priest or by downloading a copy from the Parrocca San Ġużepp Msida Facebook page.

This week:
The National Council of Women is holding a half-day of recollection followed by Mass at its centre in Mountbatten Street, Blata l-Bajda, on Wednesday at 9.30 a.m. Fr Alfred Vella will conduct the Lenten morning service.

A card games party in aid of the Little Sisters of the Poor is being held at the Preluna Hotel, Sliema, on Wednesday from 10 a.m. For bookings call Blanche Martin on 2133 0387.

There will be a public talk by leading botanist Edwin Lanfranco about local flora at Din l-Art Ħelwa, 133 Melita Street, Valletta, on Wednesday at 6.30 p.m.

Mr Lanfranco will lead a field visit to Majjistral Park on Saturday at 10 a.m. The price is €5 for adults and €3 for students. Park volunteers can attend for free. Booking is compulsory. E-mail walks@majjistral.org.

The Junior Club of Our Lady of Lilies Musical Society of Mqabba is organising an activity for the children of Mqabba and their friends entitled ‘Ċuċu Train Adventure’, to take place on April 10. Children will be taken to Marsaxlokk on board Malta Fun Trains. On arrival, there will be a stop at the village’s playing field for recreation. The train will leave Mqabba Sqaure at 10 a.m. Parents who wish to accompany their children may do so. For bookings call 9927 5037 and for further information visit www.talgilju.com.

Later this month:
Our Lady of Lilies Musical Society of Mqabba is organising a one-day trip to Gozo for members. The trip will take place on April 15 and will include visits to places of interest and lunch in a well-known restaurant. For further information visit www.talgilju.com.

A public conference on the theme ‘Henry and Inez Casolani – Servants of God in the Family’ will be held at 7 p.m. on April 20 at the Catholic Institute (Auditorium), Floriana. The speakers will be Mgr Charles Cordina, consultant cardiologist Dr Robert Xuereb and Dr Christopher Gruppetta. The St Angela Merici (Ursuline Sisters) Choir will be participating. The general public is invited to attend.
