An 81-year-old man from Ta Xbiex suffered grievous injuries this morning when he was hit by a car in Testaferrata Street, Ta' Xbiex. He is not in a critical condition.

The police said the accident happened at around 7.45 a.m. The man was hit by a Kia Sportage that was being given by a 52-year-old man from Gzira.
