Victoria Girls Secondary School students raised €650 for a water purification system in a school in Thailand during a ‘Walk for Water’ on March 21 to mark World Water Day.

The students walked through the streets of Victoria carrying two-litre bottles of water sponsored by Arkadia Ltd and distributed information on water saving tips and a water saving hippo bag provided by the HSBC Climate Initiative Project in collaboration with Nature Trust Malta.

On their way they collected money from people and establishments for the project.

The students also carried banners related to water .

The event was organised by the Eko Skola committee of the Gozo College in Victoria.
