• Today, Palm Sunday, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead the blessing of palm and olive branches at the Cathedral in Victoria at 10 a.m., followed by Mass at 10.30 a.m.

On Maundy Thursday, there will be morning prayers at the Cathedral at 8.30 a.m., followed by Mass of Holy Chrism at 9 a.m. Mgr Grech will lead the solemn commemoration of the Lord’s Supper at 6.30 p.m. On Good Friday, the bishop will lead the celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 4 p.m., while on Holy Saturday, he will lead the celebration of Easter Vigil at 8 p.m. On Easter Sunday, Mgr Grech will concelebrate Mass with the Cathedral Chapter at 6 p.m.

• The Vocations Group of the Cathedral will hold a Last Supper display at St Barbara chapel near the Cathedral. The exhibition will be inaugurated today at 11.30 a.m. and will remain open until Saturday at noon.

• The Għaqda Drammatika Għajnsielem, in collaboration with Għajnsielem council, will be presenting a Passion play entitled Id-Dawl tad-Dinja by Joanne Debrincat at Independence Square, Għajnsielem, today at 7.30 p.m.

• An Easter Sweet and Figolli Fair will be held today at the Don Bosco Oratory foyer in Victoria from 9 a.m. All proceeds will be in aid of the Don Bosco Oratory.

• A Good Friday procession/ pageant by children, organised by the Vocations Centre of Xagħra, will leave Our Lady of Victory church, Xagħra, today at 6 p.m.

• A Lectio Divina about the Passion and Death of Christ according to the Gospel of St Matthew will be held at the Cana Centre in Victoria tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday at 8.30 p.m.

• A Last Supper display by the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society of Żebbuġ will be opened today at the club in Church Street, Żebbuġ, at 5 p.m. The display remains open all week from 5 to 8 p.m.

• It-Tniebri – an Eastertide experience of past traditions during Holy Week in Gozo will be held on Wednesday at the Citadel in Victoria at 8 p.m. A guided tour of Good Friday statues and statuettes displayed in various villages will be held before the event. • Holy Week services in English will be held at the Sacred Heart Seminary, Enrico Mizzi Street, Victoria. Maundy Thursday – Mass at 5.30 p.m; Good Friday – service at 3 p.m; Easter Vigil – Mass at 8. p.m; Easter Sunday – Mass at 10 a.m. Cars can park opposite the seminary. Meanwhile, Manuel Farrugia is holding an exhibition of sacred art, entitled Lux, at the Seminary in Victoria, between today and Friday.

• Holy Week functions at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary will include the solemn celebration of the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday at 6 p.m. and the commemoration of the Passion of Christ on Good Friday at 3 p.m. On Easter Saturday, Mgr Grech will lead a Marian celebration at 9 a.m. An Easter vigil of prayer will be held at 8.30 p.m. Masses on Easter Sunday will be said at 6.15 a.m., 8.30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11.15 a.m. and at 5 p.m.

• The Gozo Cathedral parish will be holding an open-air prayer vigil in preparationfor Good Friday in the Citadel’s main square tomorrow at 8 p.m. Seating will be available at the Cathedral Square.

• The La Stella Philharmonic Society will be holding a sacred music concert at St George’s Basilica, Victoria, tomorrow at 8.15 p.m.

• The St Joseph Band of Għajnsielem is holding a concert of sacred music at the Old Parish church, Għajnsielem, on Wednesday at 7.15 p.m.

• The Visitation Band of Għarb will be holding a concert of sacred music at Għarb parish church on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

• Holy Week functions at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, will be as follows: Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m., Good Friday service at 4 p.m. and Saturday Vigil at 8 p.m. All functions will be animated by the band Straight Ahead.

• A Way of the Cross will be organised by the Don Bosco Oratory on Għammar Hill on Good Friday. Meeting Point is at Ta’ Pinu Square at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited.

• Traditional Maundy Thursday visits to the Seven Churches will be held for students and youths by the Don Bosco Oratory on Thursday night. Ticketsmay be acquired from thedirector at the Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria.

• Foreign residents of all denominations are invited to the annual pilgrimage of the Seven Churches on Good Friday, organised by the Legion of Mary. • Good Friday processions will be held in various parishes. Today, Palm Sunday, the procession will leave the Cathedral in Victoria at 6 p.m. On Good Friday processions will be held at St George’s Basilica, Victoria (5.30 p.m.), Xagħra (6 p.m.), Nadur (6 p.m.) and Żebbuġ (6 p.m.).
