Enemalta is organising a competition for students to mark the corporation’s 35th anniversary. The theme for the competition is ‘Energy, past, present and future’.
The competition has three categories. Students in Forms 1 and 2 (Category A) are invited to create a poster. If hand-crafted or printed, it should be at least A3 in size; if painted, it should be at least A4 in size.
Students in Forms 3 and 4 (Category B) are to create a 12-slide presentation of between eight and 10 minutes in duration.
Students in post-secondary education aged up to 18 (Category C) have a choice of three types of submissions:
They may either create a 12-slide presentation of between eight and 10 minutes in duration.
The photos may be edited or composed using computer software and should be 10 by eight inches (25.4 by 20.3 cm) in size.
Alternatively, they may submit a painting at least A4 in size, or an essay of not more than 1,500 words.
All submissions may be in either English or Maltese.
The first prize for each category is an e-book reader; the second and third prizes are book vouchers worth €75 and €50 respectively.
A book voucher of €125 will be awarded to the school that the winner attends.
A €200 book voucher will also be awarded to the school with the highest number of students taking part in the competition.
Each submission and write-up is to feature the student’s name and surname, class, the name of school and a contact person at the school, and feature the official stamp of the school.
All submissions, except for the essay in category C, are to be accompanied by a write-up of up to 500 words describing the contents of the work submitted and the conclusions or messages that may be derived from the work.
