A woman pleading not guilty to prostitution charges yesterday also denied holding two clients against their will and extorting about €3,000 from them.

Justin Farrugia, 21, of San Ġwann and his girlfriend Ellie Briffa, 18, of Birkirkara denied holding the two men against their will on March 14 in a Ġzira flat, extorting €3,270 and forging a signature to cash a cheque for €2,220.

Mr Farrugia denied attacking a policeman, disobeying orders, driving without a licence and insurance, living off the earnings of prostitution and threatening the two men. Ms Briffa denied loitering for prostitution.

Magistrate Anthony Vella remanded them in custody.
