White Hart started the game like a house on fire and could have gone ahead in the first 10 minutes hadn’t it been for three fine saves effected by Rabat custodian Ian Azzopardi.
In the 11th minute Rabat took the lead when James Azzopardi scored from a corner action.
Rabat applied further pressure, winning three penalty corners, but steady goalkeeping by White Hart’s Robert Vassallo Agius kept the score unchanged at half-time.
White Hart drew level on 55 minutes when in a swift break Karl Tua met a cross to make it 1-1.
Rabat where unlucky not to regain the lead on 69 minutes when Shawn Falzon hit the post from a short corner.
White Hart soon hit Rabat on the break again and Daniel Siefert scored to put his team 2-1 up.
Rabat tried to force a reaction but could not find a way back into the match, in the end dropping precious points in the title race.

Qormi took two minutes to take the lead when from a penalty corner Jonathan Borg hit the ball into the net.
On 25 minutes Young Stars had a shot cleared off the line.
But two minutes later, Luke Borg Costanzi equalised after a prolonged action.
The second half produced a balanced period of play with neither team on the field able to establish command on the proceedings.
Clear scoring chances were few and far between with midfielders holding sway.
In the end a hard-fought match ended with honours even, leaving Qormi two points ahead of Rabat in the standings.
