The main façade of the Grandmaster's Palace in Valletta has been extensively restored and work is currently going on the remaining facades.

The work was this morning visited by Resources Minister George Pullicino who said the restoration works were embarked upon in 2010 and are expected to be concluded in 2013. The project has so far cost €380,000.

The four facades of the Palace, which dates back to 1572 when it was a much smaller building, now covers an area of 6,300 metres square.
