On tardiness of results and resits
I don’t like tardiness and don’t see why students attending some courses receive their results so late. Of course, I understand the fact that there are specific credits with a large number of students but there shouldn’t be such a delay with the results.

I don’t like tardiness and don’t see why students attending some courses receive their results so late. Of course, I understand the fact that there are specific credits with a large number of students but there shouldn’t be such a delay with the results. Ideally, results should be received within three to four weeks.
I think September is good enough for resits because it gives students at least a month to study. The weather would not be very hot so students would be more able to concentrate.
I think lecturers should be allowed to repeat some of the questions but when a lecturer decides to repeat the whole paper with the same mistakes of the previous year, then that’s a serious problem. Stefanelle Cachia, Dance Studies, 2nd year.

Students who have studied hard for weeks should not have to wait too long for some results to be published.
This is not fair on students. Indeed, they should not take longer than four weeks.
I don’t mind it that resits are held in September.
This way, students surely would not be able to use the classic excuse of not having enough time to study.
However, resits should also be available in June with the second semester examinations and students should be given the option of choosing when to sit for them. Brian Dimech, Earth Systems, 1st year.

I understand that correcting a large number of exam papers takes a lot of time, but the people correcting the papers should keep in mind that students are eager to know their mark after months of studying.
I believe exceptional tardiness should not be tolerated.
I guess three weeks from the last exam should be a reasonable time both for students and the people who have to correct the papers.
Though it is not ideal to study during the summer holidays September is nevertheless a good time to do the resits.
I think repeating questions should be allowed as long as they are fair and cover what the students had done. Denise Frendo, Bachelor of Law and Maltese, 2nd year.
